First Friday Happy Hour

Join HYP on August 6 for our First Friday Happy Hour (FFHH) at McGrath's Pub. McGrath's Pub will be offering happy hour specials 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. All draft beers are half off, and liquors and bottled beers are $1 off. Relax and network at HYP's popular FFHH! HYP Tennis

HYP Sports is now offering tennis for FREE! HYP Tennis is open to all ages and levels of play. Please bring your own racket and tennis balls. Even if you don't want to play, feel free to watch, hangout, and enjoy the summer weather. After tennis, the group will usually go out for lunch.

Registration is not required. If it is raining, or the courts are soaked from an overnight rain, there will be no tennis that day. For directions and any other questions, please contact tennis@hyp.org.

HYP Employer Assisted Housing Program a Major Success

Harrisburg, PA, June 3, 2010 - Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) announces the success of the HYP Employer Assisted Housing Program.

$14,000 in grants were awarded toward the purchase of a primary residence in the City of Harrisburg. All grants were made to individual home-buyers on a first-come, first-serve basis in the amount of $1,000. The program was announced on February 24, 2010 and all funds were exhausted by April 2, 2010.

Put your parking space holders away, spring is finally here and Harrisburg has thawed. Thank you to everyone who attended the Annual Meeting. Special thanks to our speakers Dr. Eric Darr, Dan Deitchman and Mayor Linda Thompson, and our sponsors Troegs Brewing Co., Bricco Restaurant, and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. At our Annual Meeting this year, we announced the HYP Employer Assisted Housing Program. The program will provide approved applicants with $1,000 toward their closing costs on any home purchased within city limits.
