International Culture Committee
Chair: Virginia Burd
The mission of the International Culture Committee is to promote international and
cultural activities and events in the Harrisburg community, continually
seeking to highlight this area as great place to live, work, play, and shop.
The International Culture Committee aims to link HYP with area students and
professionals in order to:
1. Increase the Committee's membership.
2. Have some of the Committee members be "in charge" of some of the
events.
3. Continue to provide the three monthly series: Discover the World,
International Movies and International Dance and Music.
4. Develop additional "special events" around International Holidays
and happenings.
5. Increase event attendance, particularly increase HYP members
attendance
6. Increase event sponsorships
7. Continue to partner with educational institutions and local
organizations to promote HYP's mission and collaborate on cultural programs
The International Culture Committee meets 6:00pm on the last Monday of the month
at the International House, 320 Chestnut Street, Harrisburg. (www.ihousehbg.org). For more information or to
