Lemonade Day is an event that inspires children to turn a dream into a reality and encourages children to learn about the workings of a successful business venture. Throughout the month of July, HYP volunteers will work with middle school children at the Salvation Army Youth Program to teach weekly lessons on the basic principles required to start a business - Product, Placement, Price and Promotion. Through weekly sessions, the children are encouraged to take full ownership of all aspects of their project from beginning to end as they create their own Lemonade stands. They are also focusing on the concept of "Save a Little, Spend a Little, Give a Little" with their overall profits.
The students have been hard at work - but now we need your help! On Tuesday, August 6th, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, three stands will be set up on Second Street where each team will be selling their original Lemonade. Join us for a refreshing beverage, but most importantly join us to encourage, mentor and inspire entrepreneurship in the leaders of tomorrow.
