At the HYP Movie Club, we like to do things a little bit differently. This month, we're meeting on Monday instead of Tuesday, just to change it up a little bit. If you missed the discussion on Waltz with Bashir last month, never fear, this month's film is Sugar. Imagine you're playing baseball in the Dominican Republic and a scout comes up to you and says you could make it in the big leagues in America. Pretty soon you find yourself among the cornfields of Iowa, playing minor-league ball and adjusting to a new place and culture all at once. Here's how it works: watch the movie any way you can (usually someone in the club has it). Then, show up for the conversation and the snacks (The Midtown Cinema has a great coffee bar with drinks and munchies), and you may just get to pick next month's movie. See you there!
