Getting involved with HYP requires some initiative on your part... but we guarantee that these efforts will be rewarding to you, HYP, and your community.

What is a Second Wednesday Social?
Second Wednesday Socials are your way to meet us and learn more about our organization in an informal, relaxed, and fun atmosphere. All HYP members as well as people interested in HYP are invited to come and unwind with us. Second Wednesday Socials are held every month at various Harrisburg locations, and our Membership Committee will be there to greet you, introduce you to HYP, and answer any questions you may have.

HYP's Events/Social Committee regularly coordinates a variety of Events. For example, through HYP you can: plant trees and flowers to brighten our community, cheer on our championship Harrisburg Senators baseball team, canoe on the beautiful Susquehanna River, bike ride along Harrisburg's scenic Greenbelt, explore the magnificent homes in the City on our annual Home Tour, mingle with our colleagues from other Young Professionals groups throughout Pennsylvania, explore the City's restaurants with our Dinner Club, read today's most interesting best sellers in our Book Club, expand your knowledge with our Wine Club, compete in our Tennis Club, and welcome new Harrisburg residents and HYP members.

Additionally, we work in cooperation with various other community organizations to be a part of such events as the Backyard Bash and the Red Hot Strawberry Ball. We believe that these opportunities for networking and community coordination are vital to the growth of Harrisburg because they give us the chance to form lasting relationships with our colleagues and our neighbors. Contribute to HYP-Which Committee could benefit from you?
HYP has been able to flourish since its inception in 1998 because of the talents and ideas of its members. Through their experience, great ideas, and willingness to contribute, HYP has become a driving force in the Harrisburg community and has made some really significant strides in pursuit of its goal to make Harrisburg a fun place to Live, Work, Play, and Shop. However, this is still much to be done and by joining our committees you can become a part of HYP's bright future! So you are now cordially invited to explore our various Committees, contact the committee chairpersons of the ones that interest you, and start making your unique and much appreciated contribution to HYP.

Support your community-What's happening in Harrisburg?
The motivational force behind HYP is Harrisburg. We believe that the community of Harrisburg has much to offer its residents and we are committed to making sure people know that. Therefore, we are very supportive of the community events that occur throughout our City and we encourage you to support these events as well. Additionally, we believe that by volunteering for the various projects that HYP supports you will be able to help further HYP's goal of making Harrisburg a fun place to Live, Work, Play, and Shop!
