Recently Harrisburg University (HU) and Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) formed a partnership that includes 3 main components. First HYP has funded a $2500 scholarship at HU for the next 5 years. Our preference is that this scholarship be awarded to a student who resides in the City of Harrisburg.
Additionally, HYP has agreed to give each Harrisburg University student a free HYP membership. This is an excellent way for us to show students what the city has to offer in terms of social, cultural and community activities. It is our hope that after these students graduate that they will choose to live and work in Harrisburg.
Finally, we will continue serving as volunteers for the Business Mentoring program. This program pairs students with members of the business community in effort to strengthen their professional and networking abilities.
