HYP represented at CPBJ Forty under 40

Posted: October 27, 2009 - 4:48pm

HYP leaders Nicole Borda, 2009 President, and Amy Richards, 2010 Secretary-elect, were honored along with 38 of their peers at the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal's annual list of forty under 40. In addition, to our current leadership, former board members Andy Johnson and Stacia Zewe were honored.

"Each year the Central Penn Business Journal's Forty Under 40 awards program honors forty young business leaders under the age of 40 who share a commitment to professional excellence and the community. The 40 men and women are selected by an independent judging panel for their notable successes and demonstrations of strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field." - CPBJ

These awards are for the top 40 individuals in Central Pennsylvania, but we know that their reach is not limited to regional or even state boundaries. These individuals have made a difference in the world around them. HYP congratulates not only our fellow HYP members, but also applauds all of the recipients for their exceptional initiative and talent as one of the best and brightest leaders in the region. HYP looks forward to seeing what they acomplish in their next 40 years as they continue to shape the region and inspire other young professionals.

"The fact that 10% percent of the recipients on this prestigious list currently are or have been HYP leaders really showcases the ubiquitous talent in this organization. As one of the largest civic organizations in the state, we deal with many complex organizational goals and challenges. These experiences breed excellence in our organization, which our constituency leverages in the business world." - Jason Marks, HYP 2010 President-elect

In addition to being commended for their achievements at an evening awards ceremony, the forty award recipients are profiled in a special supplement to the Central Penn Business Journal.
