As summer heats up, so does Harrisburg Young Professionals' line-up of special events this season. HYP has a host of upcoming activities and events, such as flag football, the signature Second Wednesday Socials, new member mixers and neighborhood cleanups. More importantly, we're only a few weeks away from the biggest event of the year for HYP and Young Professionals from across the state.

Each year, young professionals from across Pennsylvania come together to hear from experts, learn from business and community leaders, share ideas with each other, and network at ImPAct, the largest statewide conference for young professionals. For the first time in five years, HYP will host ImPAct, from September 10 to 12, 2010, in downtown Harrisburg.

We couldn't be more proud to be hosting the 2010 ImPAct conference, which will showcase all the capital city has to offer. We'll welcome young professionals from Pittsburgh, Erie, Philadelphia and other areas and encourage them to see why Harrisburg is a great place to live, work and play. We are excited about our opportunity to highlight the City of Harrisburg's amenities, businesses and landmarks that make it the fifth "most livable" city and second on Forbes list of "America's Best Places to Raise a Family 2010."

Whether you're a working professional, a college student, or community or industry leader, there is something for you at the 2010 ImPAct conference. Thanks to our generous sponsors and special guest speakers, HYP has put together an outstanding list of presenters--including Keynote Speaker James E. Nevels, Founder and Chairman of The Swarthmore Group and non-executive Chair of The Hershey Company Board of Directors; Mark Singel, former Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania and President of The Winter Group; Bill Milliken, Founder and Vice Chairman of Communities in Schools --and informative, interactive sessions on topics such as personal, political, community and corporate leadership; social media; YP best practices and much more.

The conference isn't all work and no play. For $60 per person, which includes two breakfasts and lunches, you'll also have the opportunity to meet and greet young professionals, HYP founders and business and nonprofit leaders at two networking receptions at the ultra-chic, luxe lounge Level 2 and the historic Capitol building.

Don't miss this great opportunity to "Network. Lead. Succeed." at the 2010 ImPAct conference. Get your all access pass now by registering at www.impactharrisburg.com.

I look forward to seeing you at the ImPAct conference in September.
