HYP News:
Welcome to our newest Board Members Jennifer Olivetti and Jim Willshier
Jennifer Olivetti works in Student Affairs at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. She has worked for over 15 years in community service and leadership development programs for teens and young adults in Harrisburg, Hershey, Pittsburgh, and Mechanicsburg. Jenni received her Masters degree in Higher Education from Geneva College and her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Women Studies from Shippensburg University.
Jenni's introduction would not be complete without mentioning her loyalty to her parents, four siblings, and their growing families all of whom currently live in the region. Her commitment to her family naturally translated into her passion for student development and community service. These passions, combined with Jenni's love of the City of Harrisburg, fuel her work at Harrisburg University. Jenni currently serves on the Board of Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz and the Community Outreach Committee of the Junior League of Harrisburg. In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities, live music, yoga and travel.
Jim Willshier is the Government Relations Manager for the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC. He has lived in the area for 5 years since graduating from Penn State. Jim has been married for almost 2 years and he and his wife both enjoy living and playing in the region. Along with HYP, Jim has been very active with the YMCA Youth & Government program as an advisor and will be entering the Leadership Harrisburg Area program this fall.
At the Chamber, Jim lobbies on behalf of its membership on business issues with public officials at every level of government, educates its members on important legislative issues, coordinates its government relations committees, and manages the Chamber's political action committee.
