Each team can have an unlimited amount of team members. But people may not be added to a team after registration closes.
1. Teams must field at least 6 players to avoid forfeit, at least 2 of which must be women. Each team member must have signed the waiver before the season begins. If a team is found out to be playing with a player who has not signed the waiver, the team will forefit their match that evening.
2. A maximum of 8 players per team may take the court at the beginning of each game. Teams may have no more than 5 males on the court at one time. At least 3 females must be on the court at the start of a game when playing with 8 players. If only 2 females are present, the team must play with 6 players - 4 males and 2 females. If a team is short on players, they may pick up no more than 2 players from other teams. A team may only pick up players if they are below the 8 required to play.

1. Regulation play will be 11 games. These games equal one (1) match.

5. Play is continuous until all players on one team have been put out or time expires.

2. 5 balls will be placed at the line in the center of the dodgeball court.
3. Teams line up along their respective back court lines. Officials will sound whistle to begin play.
4. At the sound of the whistle, teams may run to the center line and retrieve the dodgeballs - teams may not cross into the opposing team's zone, no contact may be made with the opposing team's players, a player who initiates contact with a player on the opposing team will be called out - this is the ONLY time a teammate may pass the ball to another teammate, this passing consists of retrieving a ball from the center line and giving it to another teammate who remained at the back court line.
5. Dodgeballs MUST be brought back to the back court line before they can be entered into play. Any ball that is entered into play without being brought back to the back court line will not count. This can also be accomplished by throwing the ball off the back wall upon retrieving the ball from the center line.
6. Each player has 10 seconds to make an attempt after taking possession of the ball. If the player holds the ball for longer than 10 seconds the player will be called out.

8. Players may NOT leave the court to avoid being struck or to catch the ball. A player may only leave the court to retrieve a ball that has left the court. A player "leaves the court" when the player has two feet out of bounds. A player with one foot inbounds did/does not "leave the court." A player who retrieves the ball may not enter the ball back into play until they are back on the court - any ball thrown from out of bounds will not count. Any player who goes out of bounds will be called out (unless it is to retrieve a ball).
9. Teammates who are not on the court MAY retrieve balls for their teammates. The balls MUST BE PLACED ON THE SIDELINE - THEY MAY NOT BE PASSED TO TEAMMATES.

c. The ball thrown by the player is CAUGHT by a player on the opposing team prior to striking the ground or wall.
12. If the ball that is caught by the opposing team hit an opposing team's player prior to being caught, the player hit by the ball is "saved" and the thrower is out
13. Players may use balls to block an attempt
a. If the ball being used to block is dropped, the player who dropped the ball is out
b. The ball being blocked is still "live" after striking the ball being used to block - if the "live" ball hits a part of the blocking players body, the blocking player is out.
c. If the "live" ball after being blocked hits a player on the blocking player's team, the player hit by the ball is out
d. If the "live" ball is blocked and deflected back into the opposing team's zone and is then caught, the player who blocked and deflected the ball is out as if they had thrown the ball and the ball was caught
e. If a "live" ball is blocked and deflected and hits a teammate of the blocking player in the head, that does not count as a headshot and the player hit by the ball is out
14. A "live" ball may knock out more than one player IF the "live" ball bounces off one player and strikes another PRIOR to hitting the ground or wall
15. Players may NOT kick the ball; a kicked ball will result in a dead ball. A player kicking the ball will be called out automatically. Note: This includes stopping

23. All Players are reminded that while that are on the honor system and when they are hit by the ball expected to go out of the game. If a referee or court supervisor sees someone get hit and remain in the game, that team will receive a warning. If it happens again that a player on the same team does not go out after being hit by the ball then they will automatically forfeit the game, even if the violation is reported to the referee by the court supervisor after the game has ended.
